Users review: The simplest pleasures in life are the best, and this film is one of them. Combining pretty basic story of love and adventure, this film goes beyond the usual weekend fair with wit and charm unlimited. Each character is a joy and just want to see more of them. Princess Bride is based on the novel by William Goldman unmatched, who also wrote the script. While this review of the film, I can not recommend the book on which it is based more pronounced. This is easily the most witty, charming fable ever written and will fill in many details that are impossible on the screen. The only other film of this type that I can think of that is fun Danny Kayes Court Jester, another costumed comedy / adventure / romance that I highly recommend. |
