Users review: To see the strange case of Benjamin Button I was wondering how I would react to a story about a man who is born old and get younger as he grows up. Of all the stories I've ever encountered, it is by far the most bizarre and fascinating. If I had someone this story on screen able to choose what I do not think David Fincher would first choice.How me wrong é ; g would have been. This movie is by far one of the best, if not the best of 2008. Finchers direction is flawless! The film from start to finish growing. There are moments of joy and ecstasy after grief and understanding. Brad Pitt stars as Benjamin was born the son of an old man who lives his life in reverse. His childhood friend, Daisy, played by Cate Blanchett. The story is narrated by Benjamin viewed with special highlights Daisy.The cast doing anything wrong. Pitt and Blanchett lead to good performance Taraji P. Henson as Queenie Benjamin surrogate mother, the only person in the world who seem to understand and truly loved him from the beginning. Other cameos along the way to bring a wide variety of characters, including Tilda Swinton, young love Benjamin interests.The film extends from end of the First World War to arrival of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Transitions in life stage to life stage and decade decade closed. Fincher does a great job of maintaining a constant flow of action and dialogue. There is not a dull moment in the film. Cinematography is great and pairs nicely with Finchers style emphasized certain colors enhance the mood or moment.There is really nothing wrong with this movie. Even with a running time of 160 minutes, the time just flies by, just as it is for Benjamin, we just keep going. It is a gentle and meaningful movie you want to request. |
